The Mimaki Standard 45 is a carbide vinyl cutter blade with a 45 degree cutting angle and a 0.25mm offset for Mimaki cutting plotters. Also compatible with DGI and New Star cutters. It is sold as a single blade or as a 5 pack.
When to use this blade
This is the general purpose blade for a Mimaki. A 45 degree angle covers everyday calendered and cast sign vinyl, lettering and print and cut contour work. Switch to the Mimaki Sandblast 60 for thick or sandblast stencil material and heavy reflective, where the steeper angle is needed to get through the material. Most shops run the 45 degree standard for the bulk of their work and keep a 60 degree blade for the occasional heavy job.
Compatibility and specs
Fits Mimaki cutters, and also DGI and New Star. Angle 45 degrees, offset 0.25mm, carbide. This blade fits the PerfectCut Mimaki Blade Holder. Blade offset is the distance from the center of the blade shaft to the cutting tip, and the cutter or its software needs the same value entered so corners close cleanly. Set the offset to match this blade and check a small test cut before running a job. A worn blade shows first on small text, with corners that do not meet and pieces that lift during weeding.
