The Roland Sandblast 60 is a carbide vinyl cutter blade with a 60 degree cutting angle and a 0.75mm offset for Roland cutters and compatible plotters. It is sold as a single blade or as a 5 pack.
When to use this blade
Use a 60 degree blade for thick or sandblast stencil material and heavy reflective sheeting. The steeper angle gives a longer cutting edge in the material, so the blade gets through heavy stock without the extra down force that wears a 45 degree blade and risks cutting into the liner. For everyday calendered and cast sign vinyl, the Roland Standard 45 is the normal blade. For reflective sheeting at ordinary thickness, the Roland Reflective 45 is the fit, and for fine lettering, the Roland Small Character 45.
Compatibility and specs
Fits Roland cutters, and is also compatible with Allen Datagraph, Copan, GCC, Refine, Secabo, Seiki and Vinyl Express except Q Series. Angle 60 degrees, offset 0.75mm, carbide. This blade fits the PerfectCut Roland Blade Holder. Blade offset is the distance from the center of the blade shaft to the cutting tip, and the cutter or its software needs the same value entered so corners close cleanly. Set the offset to match this blade and check a small test cut before running a job. On sandblast stencil, set depth so the blade scores the liner without cutting through, and test weed a small square before running the full sheet.
