Perforated Window Film

Window film covers the printable films that go on glass: perforated one-way vision film, opaque block-out vinyl and static cling. The perforated films are 6 mil white-face, black-back vinyl with a pattern of holes; the image shows from outside while people inside see through the open area. Ratios are 50/50, 60/40, 70/30 and 80/20, printed area first, open area second. A clear 60/40 version is reverse printed and mounted inside the glass. The 8 mil white block-out vinyl is an opaque removable film for privacy and full-coverage storefronts. Clear and white 7 mil static cling films hold without adhesive for short-term decals.

How to choose

For vehicle rear and side windows, use 6.0mil Matte White 50/50 Perforated Window Film (One-Way Vision); the 50 percent open area keeps the view usable. The 6.0mil Matte White 70/30 Perforated Window Film (One-Way Vision) and 6.0mil Matte White 80/20 Perforated Window Film (One-Way Vision) print brighter and are storefront-only films; they do not meet vehicle light transmission rules. The 60/40 white film sits between them, and 6.0mil Clear 60/40 Perforated Window Film (One-Way Vision) mounts inside for vandalism-prone glass. All perforated films remove cleanly for up to a year. To block the window instead, use 8.0mil Gloss White Block-Out Window Vinyl, Removable Adhesive. For promotions up to three months, 7.0mil Clear Static Cling Print Film or the white version applies wet or dry.

Window films come in 15, 20, 24, 30, 54 and 60 in widths; perforated and block-out films are 100 ft, static cling 150 ft.
